Goddess of Scorpions and other Venomous Creatures, Magical Potions, and the Afterlife. As with other dangerous Goddesses, she was both protective Goddess and one who punished the wrong doers. She could kill with scorpion venom or protect from this venom. She was shown with a scorpion on her head. In the Underworld she helped with the rebirth of the newly deceased. She was believed to be the wife of Horus and the mother of Horakhty.
